Show Notes

Jeff Spencer and Chris Work talk about construction job bidding in these difficult times. The construction industry in Middle Tennessee, where ProfitDig is located, is booming. However, a lack of workers and rapidly rising materials costs are placing extreme pressure on many contractors.

Jeff has been a professional project manager for many years, and he has seen it all. So he talks about some strategies for bidding jobs when demand is very high, like it is now. He also gives some advice about renting equipment when you don't have what you need for certain jobs.

The men also discuss when to stockpile materials. Jeff talks about how his business is currently experiencing shortages and wait times of four to six weeks to get materials.

Another topic discussed is making sure you have a firm understanding of the mobilization that will be required for a job. If you do not have a firm understanding of how and when you are going to have to move your equipment, it could have severe negative consequences to your profitability.

Listen in as a seasoned professional dishes out some of this best advice for bidding jobs in times of high demand and low supply.
